Install Security Doors To Stop Strangers From Intruding In Your Personal Space

Doors are the first barrier to the outside world, and it is the first thing that stops strangers from breaking into your house, trying to steal your stuff. But we often give little importance to these front doors. Whenever we think about upgrading the security of our homes, we immediately think of changing the lock system to a super-advanced lock system with fingerprints or sensors. But do you know today's security doors can provide as much security as these advanced systems? Apart from just installing new security systems, you should also think about upgrading your front door.

Things That You Should Know About Security Doors Before You Get One:

Security Doors
  • Many think of security doors as unattractive doors that are quite heavy. That may have been the case some twenty years back; now, the scenario is different. There are various styles of security doors that you can opt for. There are two types of security doors, a barrier door, and a screen door. Barrier doors are costlier than screen doors, but as you can already guess, they provide more protection than screen doors. Screen doors are mostly used to keep the bugs away.
  • You can install separate hardware on the security doors to increase the layer protection; you can add locks, hinges as well as sensors.
  • The stainless steel used in these doors is of two kinds - a grade 316 and another a grade 304. The former is more expensive but provides better protection. No burglars or delinquents can break into your house if you have a grade 316 steel door. The latter is easier on your pocket, but in the long run, it will not last long. The steel, although it will provide protection initially, will eventually corrode over time. The grade 316 stainless steel is entirely corrosion-resistant. Once installed, it will last until North Korea deploys its nuclear bombs!
  • If you have pets, you can opt for specially customized doors. Depending on your pet's size, a small door will be made to allow them to go out of the house at their whim. There are 3 sizes-small, medium, and large.
  • If you want, you can add deadbolts, door chains, and even alarms!
  • All doors have hinges, and they are visible, not these doors. These doors have hidden hinges to make it harder for intruders to break in.
  • If you are worried that you will lose your keys and want to have a keyless lock, well, you can have that too! Just convey that to your door manufacturer, and he will take care of the rest.
  • If you want peepholes, you can opt for a security door that has peepholes. This allows you to see who is continuously ringing the bell, is it the next door truant or is it a mailman. There have been several reports of burglars duplicating door keys to get into the stealthily. This trick will not work with these doors. The keys to these doors cannot be duplicated. Duplicate keys can only be provided by the manufacturer.

Conclusion:

While they may attain fantastic security to your house and belongings, to get this extra layer of security, you need to have enough savings or funds to get these doors installed. These doors are not cheap. Apart from just buying one, you need to pay the technician as well who comes to install the security door. If you opt for a customized door for your pets, you have to shell out more to get what you want. But despite it, the advantages rule out everything else.
