A human body is a highly complex mechanism where all the systems are inter-related to each other. Thus, if one of them fails, the body stops functioning up to its full potential.

There are various kinds ‘of problems within the body which leads to pains. One of those commonly faced problem is back pain. If not taken care at an early stage it can turn into a chronic problem. It is caused due to various reasons and leads to a very uncomfortable and painful experience which cannot be softened or stopped without medicines.

This pain has now a common trait found in 8 out of 10 people. It could be a sudden sharp pain that comes and goes often or long-lasting chronic pain.  Such type of pain might even last for a day, week or even a month or more.

In such cases of back pain, one should consult a doctor without any delays. The treatment depends upon the severity of the situation and that can only be assessed when you consult a doctor, specialist or therapist.

Back Pain can take place at any age because of various reasons. Even then, there are a few cases, situations or a certain group of people who are more prone to get such pain because of their work or lifestyle. Even though there is no one specific cause for back pain, there can be any or a number of factors which might lead to such pain to any child, adult or elderly.

  • Back Pain is a common complaint among people who have crossed the age of 40 years. This is because your spine and other systems of the body do not function as well as they did 20 years ago.
  • If you are leading a sedentary lifestyle, they might face this problem as well because such a lifestyle makes the back muscles weak.
  • People who are overweight are more prone to such pains, especially in the lower back.
  • It can be a hereditary disease too. If chronic Back Pain and spinal disorders run in your family, then it’s not a surprise that you are prone to Back Pain too because of genetic disorders.
  • If you are a smoker, then the nutrients are cut off from reaching your back muscles and spine, thus making your back weak and prone to pain.
  • If you are involved in jobs where you need to sit or stand continuously for long hours or strain your body due to physical work like weightlifting and all, then you are prone to back pain.
  • Being pregnant strains and pressurizes your back more because of the weight of the baby in the front.
  • Even if you have poor pasture like a slouchy back, then you might also face back pain. The simple solution to this is to practice and maintain a good and straight posture to relief yourself from such pain.
  • Sleeping in the right posture and completing your sleep is also important. The best way is sleeping on your side. 6-8 hours of sleep is considered best for adults.

Pain, be it small or chronic, all should be noticed and dealt with at the proper time. If not treated diligently and immediately, then it might to some serious health issues in the future. Practice good postures exercise regularly, maintain good eating habits and don’t put on weight, don’t smoke and take proper nutrients as precautions these small things will keep your back in good and healthy condition. Being attentive to your body will lead to good health, both physically and mentally.
