  • Getting High School Diploma - The glazier requires a high school diploma or GED or Grade 9 education to get into the apprenticeship programs. The requirement to get into apprenticeship programs vary with countries but the minimum qualification in general is diploma in high school.
  • Complete the Apprenticeship Program - It is a wise decision to get into the apprenticeship program for people to become glaziers. These programs can be found in technical or community colleges and also offered by contractor associations or unions. The minimum requirement to qualify for program is a high school diploma. The person must be at least 18 years of age and should have enough strength to perform the hard job. The apprentices work along with professionals for 4 years and each year spend about 144 hours in the technical training and 2000 hours of paid training.
  • Certification - Although there is no compulsory requirement for the glaziers to get certification, yet it can support them to get jobs easily. Many professional organizations provide certifications to the technicians after they pass certain examinations. Some areas including Florida and Connecticut require them to get a license after passing a test, after acquiring proper educational qualification and experience.
